How the FixiService repair request service works
Last updated: October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms cover the FixiService website and repair request service. FixiService is a trading name of FIXPRO TECHNOLOGIES LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17287828), registered office Office 12, Initial Business Centre, Wilson Business Park, Manchester M40 8WN.
2. What we do
FixiService takes requests for appliance, boiler and air conditioning repairs in London and passes them to independent engineers. We do not carry out repairs ourselves, and the engineers are not our employees.
Sending a request is free and does not commit you to anything. Engineers pay FixiService a fee for each job they take; you pay nothing to us. If we cannot find an engineer for your job, we will let you know.
3. How a repair is arranged
- You call us or leave your number, and our automated call assistant takes the details of the job.
- We pass the job to an independent engineer who repairs that type of appliance.
- The engineer calls you to agree a visit time.
- The engineer diagnoses the fault and tells you the price before starting any work. Nothing is done without your agreement.
4. Prices and payment
Prices on this website are guide prices. Appliance repairs start from £72, including the call-out and diagnosis; parts are extra. If you decide not to go ahead after diagnosis, the call-out and diagnosis cost £36. Boilers, air conditioning and water heaters have their own prices on the prices page. The engineer confirms the price with you before starting, and you pay the engineer for the work as agreed.
5. The repair
The repair contract is between you and the engineer, who is responsible for the work they carry out and any guarantee they give on it. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including the right to have a service carried out with reasonable care and skill under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, are not affected.
6. Changing or cancelling a visit
You can change or cancel a visit by telling the engineer or calling us before the visit. You can also cancel a request at any time before a visit is booked.
7. Calls
Calls with FixiService are recorded and transcribed, so that we can take down your request correctly and check what was agreed if there is a question later. See our privacy policy for details.
8. Complaints
If something goes wrong, call us using the number below. We will look into it, contact the engineer and help put it right.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
